SMS Terms: Two-Step Verification Codes

Text messages from ShowcaseVideos.ai are used for one thing only: one-time passcodes for two-step verification (2FA) when you sign in. We never send marketing, promotions, account notifications or any other kind of text message.

1. The program

Program name: ShowcaseVideos.ai Two-Step Verification.
Operated by: TOG Products Inc., which runs ShowcaseVideos.ai, a video tool for real estate agents.
Purpose: when you sign in, we can text a 6-digit code to your mobile phone so we know it’s really you. Texting is optional; you can use an emailed code, an authenticator app, a passkey or Google sign-in instead.

2. How you opt in

You opt in yourself, on our website, by typing your own mobile number into a two-step verification form and pressing the button beside it. We never add a number for you, and creating an account does not sign you up for texts. The form appears in three places, all inside a signed-in or signing-in session:

  • The sign-in code page, under “Text me a code instead”, when you sign in with your email and password.
  • Account details > Two-Step Verification, by switching on “Code verification to SMS”, which opens the “Get sign-in codes by text” window.
  • The “We recommend two-step verification” page, under “Turn on, text codes to my phone”.

Every one of those forms shows this consent statement directly under the phone number box and the button. Here is what it looks like:

By entering your mobile number and tapping “Send code”, you agree to receive one-time passcodes by text message from ShowcaseVideos.ai for two-step verification (2FA) only, to confirm it’s you when you sign in. Right after you press the button we text you a code, and you type it back in to confirm the number is yours. Only then is the number saved to your account for two-step verification.

3. What we send

Only one-time two-step verification codes, one each time you ask for one. A message looks like this:

ShowcaseVideos.ai: your two-step verification code is 482913. It expires in 30 minutes. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

4. Frequency and cost

  • Message frequency varies. You get one text each time you request a sign-in code by text, and no texts otherwise.
  • Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. STOP and HELP

  • To stop: reply STOP to any message. You will get one confirmation text and nothing after that. You can also switch “Code verification to SMS” off in Account details. After opting out you can still sign in with an emailed code, an authenticator app, a passkey or Google.

6. Your number and privacy

We use your mobile number only to send your two-step verification codes and to secure your account. Messages are delivered by our SMS provider, Twilio, which processes your number only to deliver them.

We do not share, sell, rent, or provide your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in, or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Full details are in our Privacy Policy (section 7) and Terms of Service.
